Maternal Mortality Rate in Meghalaya has been reduced by 40 percent

Shillong, Mar 10 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Monday said that the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in the state has been reduced by 40 percent from 2018.
Replying to a question during Question Hour in the assembly, Sangma said in 2018 the MMR in the state was double the national average.
“MMR was one of the issues taken up by the MDA-I government since 2018. However, due to various interventions by the state government, the MMR has been brought down by 40 percent,” the Chief Minister said.

Itanagar, Apr 29 (UNI) In a significant breakthrough under Operation Dawn 2.0, the Naharlagun Police of Arunachal Pradesh successfully apprehended a main drug supplier near Dikrong river bank, and recovered 20 vials of heroin from his possession
The drug supplier is linked to Naharlagun PS Case No. 57/25 under Sections 21(b)/27/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a senior police officer said on Tuesday.
