Suchiang appointed new Meghalaya CIC

Shillong, Mar 26 (UNI) Former Meghalaya Chief Secretary Rebecca Vanessa Suchiang on Wednesday was appointed the new state Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) for a term of three years.
State Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh the decision to appoint Suchiang as the CIC was approved by the cabinet on Wednesday.
Suchiang will be the first woman to be appointed to the post of CIC in Meghalaya.

Itanagar, Apr 29 (UNI) In a significant breakthrough under Operation Dawn 2.0, the Naharlagun Police of Arunachal Pradesh successfully apprehended a main drug supplier near Dikrong river bank, and recovered 20 vials of heroin from his possession
The drug supplier is linked to Naharlagun PS Case No. 57/25 under Sections 21(b)/27/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a senior police officer said on Tuesday.
