Woman killed by co-worker in a restaurant in Meghalaya

Shillong, Feb 28 (UNI) A 41-year-old woman who worked in a restaurant here in Meghalaya was killed by a co-worker, police said on Friday.
The victim was identified as Damonica Laloo, working as a cleaner at the Trattoria restaurant, Central Ward Barik Lachaumiere, was allegedly killed by Sunai Singh on Thursday night, who is a co-worker in the restaurant, police said.
Batskhem Suting, the owner of the restaurant, alerted the police that one of his lady staff was suspected to be murdered on the ground floor of the restaurant.

Itanagar, Apr 29 (UNI) In a significant breakthrough under Operation Dawn 2.0, the Naharlagun Police of Arunachal Pradesh successfully apprehended a main drug supplier near Dikrong river bank, and recovered 20 vials of heroin from his possession
The drug supplier is linked to Naharlagun PS Case No. 57/25 under Sections 21(b)/27/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a senior police officer said on Tuesday.

Shillong, Apr 29 (UNI) Meghalaya Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers vacated from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong campus late Monday night after varsity’s authorities wrote to state authorities to withdraw the security personnel to restore normalcy in the campus, an official said on Tuesday.
