Meghalaya Guv, CM unfurls Tricolour at R-Day parade

Shillong, Jan 26 (UNI) Meghalaya Governor C H Vijayashankar on Sunday unfurled the national Tricolour at the Republic Day parade at Polo grounds.
Vijayashankar also took the salute of the security forces including Meghalaya Police, BSF, CRPF, NCC Boys, NCC Girls, Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, Indian Red Cross Society, Sacred Heart Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Holy Child Secondary School, Assam Rifles Public School horse contingent, Brass Band of Border Wing Home Guards and Border Security Force during the two-hour long programme.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who unfurled the tri-colour at Tura in West Garo Hills district, highlighted the inclusive growth and equitable thrust being accorded to different parts of Meghalaya.
