Indian Army organises Veteran Rally at Bengdubi Military Station

Bengdubi, (WB) Jan 14 (UNI) The Indian Army on Tuesday hosted a grand Veteran Rally at Bengdubi Military Station with Union minister of state for ports and shipping Shantanu Thakur was the chief guest in presence of Lieutenant General Zubin A Minwalla, the GoC Trishakti Corps.
The rally brought together veterans from Malda, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Gangtok, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, and Katihar districts, providing a platform to honour their sacrifices and address their welfare needs.
Speaking at the event, Thakur said, "It is a privilege to be among the brave veterans and their families who have given so much for the nation. The government, in collaboration with the Indian Army, remains committed to their welfare and ensuring they have access to all necessary support systems."
He commended the Indian Army's initiatives for veteran welfare, emphasising the government's commitment to ensuring that veterans and their families receive the support and resources they deserve.

its veterans and ensuring their well-being

Lt Gen Minwalla added, "Our veterans are the nation's pride, and their well-being remains our utmost priority. This rally symbolises our gratitude and dedication to their welfare."
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation, with attendees expressing appreciation for the Indian Army's efforts in addressing their welfare needs and fostering a sense of camaraderie.
This initiative reaffirms the Indian Army's steadfast dedication to maintaining strong bonds with its veterans and ensuring their access to vital benefits and services.
The event saw the participation from approximately 2,000 veterans, along with Veer Naris and their families.
