Odisha state-level innovation & startup competition inspires student creativity:Minister

Bhubaneswar, Jan 16 (UNI) The State-Level Innovation and Startup Competition, organized by the Odisha Higher Education Department, is making significant strides in nurturing creativity among students and strengthening Odisha’s startup ecosystem, said Electronics & Information Technology Minister Mukesh Mahaling.
Inaugurating the competition here on Friday, Mahaling highlighted that such initiatives encourage students to move beyond textbook learning, engage in advanced research, and embrace entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to societal development.
Referring to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Minister noted that higher education is increasingly focusing on experiential learning and research.

Imphal, July 11 UNI : A few abandoned houses of residents belonging to the Meitei community near a security encampment at a village in Imphal West district were burnt on Saturday by a mob of Kuki miscreants evoking wide spread condemnations.
Two persons were apprehended for their alleged involvement in the incident, inviting condemnation from Chief Minister Y Khemchand, his predecessor N Biren and others.
