Connect with agrarian community: Arunachal Guv to officials

Itanagar, Feb 16 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik on sunday encouraged the state government officials to connect with the agrarian community while noting that the farmers and entrepreneurs in the sector have the potential to transform the farming sector but need proper motivation and guidance.
The Governor emphasised that the progress of the rural community, especially the youth, is vital for the development of Arunachal Pradesh. He stated that when rural areas become ‘Viksit’, the state will achieve the goal of ‘Viksit Arunachal’, contributing to the collective vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
Further, highlighting the potential and capability of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, the Governor stressed that government officials must support them in realising their aspirations. He underscored the importance of transferring technical advancements from Krishi Vigyan Kendras, scientific laboratories, and research centres to the fields, ensuring they benefit rural communities.

Meghalaya names squad for Senior Women's One Day Trophy 2025-26

Shillong, Jan 21 (UNI): A 15-member squad was named on Wednesday by the Meghalaya Cricket Association's senior women's selection committee for the BCCI's Senior Women One Day Trophy 2025-26 plate group, which will be held in Febuary.
The team will be captained by stalwart Debasmita Dutta, with Monica Lyngdoh Phawa as the vice-captain.

Odisha CM urges farmers to embrace fish farming and animal husbandry for self-reliance
