Arunachal Guv reviews security situation in TCL region

Itanagar, Feb 18 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring peace in the TCL region and protecting citizens from “outside influence and intimidation”, warning anti-national elements of “severe consequences”.
The Governor while reviewing the security scenario in the insurgency-infested Tirap, Changlang, and Longding (TCL) districts with the security agencies at Khonsa, Tirap district on Monday, emphasized that a secure environment is crucial for the development and progress of the people and the state, a communiqué from the Raj Bhavan said on Tuesday.
Highlighting the strategic importance of border security, the Governor stressed that all necessary measures must be taken to safeguard national interests and ensure the well-being of those residing in border areas, asserting that “no external interference will be tolerated”.
