Families of deceased patients at RIMS to receive Rs 5,000 assistance; 100 new ventilators approved

Ranchi, Nov 12 ( UNI) The families of patients who die during treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) will be provided with Rs 5,000 as financial assistance to help with funeral expenses, the hospital decided on Wednesday.
The decision was taken during the 63rd Governing Body meeting of RIMS, which also approved the installation of 100 new ventilators to enhance the hospital’s emergency and intensive care facilities.
The meeting, chaired by Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari, marked an important step toward improving patient welfare and hospital infrastructure. Minister Ansari emphasised that the initiative aims to provide immediate relief to grieving families while strengthening critical care services for patients in need.
