Bima Sakhi crosses 50,000 mark in a month since launched by PM Modi

Kolkata, Jan 8 (UNI) Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 9 last at Panipat, LIC’s BIMA SAKHI Yojana has crossed the 50,000 mark exactly in a month, an official statement said on Wednesday.
The Bima Sakhi Yojana is a step towards Viksit Bharat through women empowerment which will provide social security to families as the LIC of India is a partner in Viksit Bharat by including women as partners in the nation’s progress by providing them with opportunity of becoming BIMA SAKHI and self-reliant.
The Bima Sakhi scheme has been received by the Nation with great enthusiasm. After completion of one month after the inauguration, the total registration for Bima Sakhi is 52,511 out of which 27,695 Bima Sakhis have been issued Appointment Letters to sell policies and 14,583 Bima Sakhis have started selling policies.
