India has immense potential for concert economy : PM Modi

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28 (UNI) India, with its rich heritage of music, dance, storytelling, and a large pool of young concert-goers, holds immense potential for the concert economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
Addressing the Utkarsha Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 here on Tuesday, Modi highlighted the emerging sector of the concert economy.
Citing recent Coldplay concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad as evidence of the growing scope for live concerts in India, he emphasized that major global artists are increasingly attracted to the country. The PM pointed out that the concert economy boosts tourism and generates numerous job opportunities.

Shillong, Feb 15 (UNI) Meghalaya police arrested two more owners of the illegal rat-hole coal mine where a dynamite blast killed 31 mine workers in Mynsngat-Thangsko area of East Jaintia Hills district, police said on Sunday.
Earnest Swer and Rangsing Syiemlieh alias Mithun were arrested on Saturday after evading police arrest in connection with the deadly coal mine blast on February 5, police said.
