Five nabbed in Manipur, arms recovered

Imphal, Mar 25 (UNI) Five persons, including four militants and a vehicle lifter, were nabbed during the last 24 hours in three separate incidents. Two among them were brought to Manipur from Assam.
Police said on Tuesday that police arrested two cadres of KCP (PWG), including a woman from the Wangoi Laxmi Bazar area under Wangoi-PS, Imphal West District, while trying to extort money from shops.
In another incident, two accused belonging to KCP(PWG) were brought by a team of Manipur Police from the Gorchuk area, Gorchuk PS, Kamrup Metropolitan District, Guwahati, Assam. They were formally arrested in connection with an FIR case of Andro PS, Imphal East District.
The arrested accused were involved in recruiting youth into the ranks of the proscribed outfit KCP (PWG).
Arms and ammunition were recovered from the foothills of Dampi Ridge along the Village Maojang & Dampi Village under Churachandpur-PS, Churachandpur District.
Wangoi-PS, Imphal West District and
Lokchao under Moreh PS, Tengnoupal District.
Manipur Police arrested one vehicle lifter, namely, from Lilong, Thoubal District.

Ranchi, Jan 12 (UNI) On the directions of the Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, a Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jharkhand State Branch, at Birsa Mandap, Lok Bhavan, Ranchi, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and visionary Swami Vivekananda (National Youth Day). A total of 406 people voluntarily donated blood during the camp.
