Supreme Court Judges meet displaced persons in Manipur

Imphal, Mar 22 (UNI) A five-member delegation of the Supreme Court judges arrived here on Saturday and visited various relief camps where displaced persons were staying.
Justice Surya Kant, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice MM Sundresh, Justice KV Viswanathan, and Justice N Kotishwar will also attend a series of legal and humanitarian assistance events, some virtually.
The 12th Foundation Day celebration of the Manipur High Court will also be organised on Sunday.
Justice Gavai, who also serves as the Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), virtually inaugurated legal and medical camps at Sawombung, Imphal East . New legal aid clinics were also opened at Imphal West, and Ukhrul districts.
A team of about 25 doctors will also conduct medical camps.
The Judges visited Churachandpur along with Chief Secretary PK Singh, DGP Rajiv Singh and hold meeting at DC office .

The Judges interacted with the displaced persons and relief materials were distributed to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
