‘Teaser will be out in a few days’: Aditya Dhar updates fans on ‘Dhurandhar 2’

New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Dismissing rumours that the teaser of Dhurandhar 2 would be released alongside Border 2, director Aditya Dhar has clarified that the teaser will arrive soon.
The clarification comes in the wake of the massive box office success of Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar, which released on December 5 and created a strong impact with audiences. Following the film’s roaring reception, anticipation for Dhurandhar 2 has been steadily growing.
Recently, several reports circulating online suggested that the teaser of the sequel would be attached to Border 2, which will hit theatres However, those speculations have now been put to rest.
Aditya Dhar has confirmed that the Dhurandhar 2 teaser is not being released with Border 2, but assured fans that it will be unveiled soon.
On Friday morning, Dhar responded to a fan on Instagram who urged him to release the teaser quickly, writing, “adityadharfilms mazak nhi teaser jaldi!” Reacting with a laughing emoji, the filmmaker replied, “Teaser will be out in a few days!” While no official date has been announced, industry buzz suggests the teaser could drop around January 26, coinciding with Republic Day.
According to a report, Dhar has reworked the end-credit sequence of Dhurandhar and reshaped it into a teaser for the sequel. The report also mentions that the full trailer of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is expected towards the end of February, with the film slated for an Eid 2026 release.
'Dhurandhar 2' is set for a major box-office clash with Yash-starrer Toxic, as both films are scheduled to release on March 19. Amid speculation about a possible change in release date, Dhar has firmly denied any postponement.
The clarification came after a fan, who watched ‘Dhurandhar’ multiple times in theatres, praised the film and tagged the director.
The fan wrote, “I think it is more than a week since I went to watch Dhurandhar for a second time in the theatre and honestly, I am still obsessed with it, and I still feel like watching it again and again… You are truly a GOAT director, can’t wait for Dhurandhar 2! India is blessed to have a director like you!”
Reposting the message, Dhar responded, “So sweet! Thanks! See you in cinemas on 19th March!”, effectively putting an end to all delay rumours.
