IFFI launches IFFIESTA 2025, 4 day music and performance showcase

New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is set to broaden its cultural footprint this year with IFFIESTA 2025, a four-day music and performance showcase presented by Doordarshan.
Scheduled from November 21 to 24, the event will run daily from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium in Goa, introducing a dedicated live-arts segment to the festival’s calendar.
Curated under WAVES Culturals & Concerts and organised in association with Saregama, MJ Films, and Dilli Gharana, IFFIESTA 2025 will feature an eclectic blend of classical, contemporary, and youth-centric performances.
Each evening will welcome a celebrity host, with Saregama presenting exclusive artist showcases. Doordarshan Sahyadri announced the new initiative today through their official Instagram handle.
According to the organisers’ press note, the showcase will open on November 21 with Osho Jain Live in Concert—the only ticketed event in the lineup, with passes available on District by Zomato.
From November 22 to 24, the programme shifts to free-entry events, including the Battle of Bands featuring Indian and international groups, the talent platform Suron Ka Eklavya, and the vocal series Waah Ustad. A special staging of Devanchal ki Prem Katha is also scheduled for November 23.
Running from November 20 to 28, IFFI 2025 will showcase more than 240 films from 81 countries, including 13 world premieres, four international premieres, and 46 Asian premieres.
The festival received a record 2,314 film submissions from 127 countries this year. IFFI will conclude with a special ceremony celebrating Rajinikanth’s 50-year legacy in Indian cinema.
