IndiGo fiasco: Hotel business takes the brunt across key cities

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) The hotel industry across key cities in the country has taken the brunt of the IndiGo flight disruptions during the last one week, with the situation not looking up as travel sentiments plummet in the public because of the prevailing uncertainties.
“Business has taken a huge hit in the last one week. There has been a drop of over 20 per cent in bookings in the last one week. New bookings are also not coming in as confidence is quite low,” said Manuj Bahl, cluster GM of Nile Hospitality Group, which runs Howard Johnson and Ramada Encore Hotels in Udaipur city, a sought-after leisure and wedding destination in north India.
