NCB, Raj police bust drug lab; Rs 40 cr chemicals seized, 5 arrested

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday said that the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Rajasthan Police have busted a clandestine laboratory operating in a remote village in the Sirohi district of the state, and seized large amounts of chemicals, which was enough to over 100 kgs of Mephedrone drug.
The seized material has an approximate street price of Rs. 40 crores, while five people have also been arrested by the joint teams, including the mastermind behind the entire illegal setup.
Mephedrone is being increasingly used as a psychotropic drug in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, according to an official statement.

CCEA approves Rs 10,998-crore elevated Varuna corridor to transform Varanasi connectivity

New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved the construction of a 43.218-km six/four-lane elevated Link/Connector Corridor along the Varuna river bank in Uttar Pradesh at a total capital cost of Rs 10,998.32 crore, a major infrastructure project aimed at easing traffic congestion in Varanasi and improving connectivity to key transport and economic hubs.
