Delhi Assembly Speaker meets UP Governor and CM; Focus on legislative reforms

New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Wednesday held meetings with the Governor and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, with the discussions centred on reforms being implemented in the Delhi legislative assembly to modernise its functioning, including going paperless, and enhance public trust.
He also underlined the importance of constitutional values, legislative cooperation and stronger coordination between institutions across states.
The Speaker informed the Uttar Pradesh leadership that the Delhi Assembly has fully transitioned to the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), with the recent winter session marking the second session to be conducted entirely on the digital platform. The shift is aimed at ensuring faster proceedings, improved transparency and a paperless legislative process.
