Our ties with US have weathered many transitions and challenges: India on Trump's criticism

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) India today appeared to brush aside US President Donald Trump’s use of strong language against India, saying the partnership has weathered several transitions and challenges, and expressed confidence that the bilateral relationship will continue to progress.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, answering a barrage of questions on President Trump’s negative comments, especially terming India as a “dead economy”, said:
“India and the United States share a comprehensive global strategic partnership anchored in shared interests, democratic values, and robust people-to-people ties.
