NEET-UG candidates move SC seeking Re-Test over power outage in MP centres

New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) Candidates of NEET-UG 2025 who faced power outages at examination centres in Madhya Pradesh have approached the Supreme Court, challenging the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s refusal to order a re-test.
The matter was mentioned today before a bench of Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi by counsel for the petitioners, seeking urgent listing.
While the bench agreed to list the case next week, the counsel sought an earlier hearing, pointing out that counselling is scheduled to commence on July 21. However, the bench declined an early posting, observing that there are several rounds of counselling and the petitioners will have opportunities if they succeed in the case.
