New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) The Congress on Wednesday gave a notice in the Lok Sabha to move a privilege motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for posting a portion of remark made by Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur that was expunged by the Chair, stating it as ‘breach of privilege and Contempt of the House’.
In a letter to Speaker Om Birla, Congress MP from Jalandhar Charanjit S Channi said, "On July 30, 2024, certain objectionable remarks made by Anurag Singh Thakur were expunged from the proceedings of the House by the Speaker, Lok Sabha. Relevant extracts from proceedings are enclosed."
