Committed to working together: PM Modi congratulates Ireland's new PM Micheal Martin

New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Micheal Martin on being elected for the second time as Ireland’s Prime Minister, and said they are committed to working together to strengthen the bilateral partnership.
In a post on X, PM Modi said:
“Congratulations @MichealMartinTD on assuming the office of Prime Minister of Ireland.
“Committed to work together to further strengthen our bilateral partnership that is based on strong foundation of shared values and deep people to people connect.”
Micheál Martin was elected prime minister of Ireland for the second time by a coalition of the country's two large centre-right parties and independents on Thursday.
Martin, 64, was premier from 2020-22. Under the deal struck following the November 29 election, outgoing prime minister Simon Harris is set to return as premier in late 2027.
