TMC rift widens as rebel MPs hold Delhi meeting with BJP leaders amid Mamata’s INDIA Bloc outreach

‎New Delhi, Jun 8 (UNI) ‎The internal turmoil within the Trinamool Congress deepened on Monday after a group of rebel party MPs reportedly held a closed-door meeting with senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in New Delhi, even as TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was engaged in discussions with INDIA bloc partners to reinforce opposition unity against the BJP.
‎The development came only hours after former TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy resigned from both the party and the Upper House, further intensifying speculation about growing dissent within the party's parliamentary ranks and raising questions about Banerjee's hold over the organisation.
‎According to reports, Roy arrived at the residence of union Minister and senior BJP leader Bhupender Yadav along with several TMC MPs. The meeting reportedly took place at Yadav's residence in the national capital, not far from the venue where Banerjee was meeting opposition leaders as part of efforts to formulate a common strategy ahead of the forthcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament.
