UP: Excise dept. drafting new policy, distillery units set to get boost in UP

Lucknow, Jan 15( UNI) In order to accelerate industrial investment in the state and strengthen revenue resources, the Uttar Pradesh government is preparing to take another major step.
In this context, the Excise Department is deliberating on the new Excise Policy 2026-27. Under the new policy, the establishment of distillery plants in the state will be encouraged, along with serious consideration of various facilities to promote exports, officials disclosed here on Thursday.
The State government believes that to make the state’s economy self-reliant, it is essential to increase revenue, attract investment, and create an industry-friendly environment.

Jammu, Feb 16 (UNI) The Academic Council of the University of Jammu approved introduction of Five-Year Integrated UG-PG Programmes under New Education Policy-2020. The decision was taken at the Council meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai on Monday.
Prof Rai deliberated upon and endorsed a wide range of academic, statutory, and institutional matters aimed at strengthening academic innovation, expanding academic programmes, and aligning the University’s academic ecosystem with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020).
