Four members of a family murdered in UP's Etah, son key suspect

Etah (UP), Jan 20 (UNI) The local police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the brutal murder of four members of a family, stating that the accused is the victims’ own son, Kamal Singh Shakya. The disclosure was made during a press conference by Aligarh Range DIG Prabhakar Chaudhary.
Police said Kamal Singh allegedly murdered his father Dr Ganga Singh Shakya, mother Shyama Devi, wife Ratna Devi, and daughter Jyoti by smashing them with bricks. The DIG said the killings were carried out in a fit of anger.
Police stated that the motive behind the crime was a family dispute related to Jyoti Shakya’s proposed inter-caste marriage with her boyfriend Anurag Saxena, who works in Chandigarh.
