J-K schools to reopen after summer break from tomorrow

Srinagar, July 7 (UNI) Schools across the Jammu and Kashmir will reopen from tomorrow following the summer vacation, J-K Minister of School Education, Sakina Itoo today said.
The Education Minister’s announcement has put to rest all speculation regarding an extension of the summer vacation, despite the ongoing heatwave. The 15-day break for schools in Kashmir had commenced on June 23.
The announcement of reopening of schools came days after Srinagar witnessed its highest day temperature in over seven decades. This year, Kashmir also recorded the hottest June in nearly 50 years.
