KGBV girls to be taken on educational tours to connect them with history, science in UP

Lucknow, Jan 21 (UNI) Implementing the objectives of the National Education Policy on ground and taking girls beyond textbook knowledge to directly connect them with history, science, culture and modern technology, the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department has taken an important step.
Girls studying in the state’s 746 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV) will now get the opportunity for exposure visits to state-level educational and historical sites. For this purpose, a substantial amount of Rs 1283.12 lakh has been approved and released.
It may be noted that the objective of these tours is to develop scientific thinking among girls, instill pride in national heritage, draw inspiration from the ideals of women empowerment and promote self-confidence and leadership abilities.

Jammu, Feb 16 (UNI) The Academic Council of the University of Jammu approved introduction of Five-Year Integrated UG-PG Programmes under New Education Policy-2020. The decision was taken at the Council meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai on Monday.
