Himachal Pradesh deserves 'Green Bonus' for ecological service, says CM Sukhu

Shimla, Oct 10 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister S. S. Sukhu has urged the Central government to provide a 'Green Bonus' to the state, arguing that it deserves compensation for the ecological balance it provides to the nation.
In a statement today, Chief Minister Sukhu said the state has made rapid strides toward realizing the vision of becoming a Natural and Green State. He elaborated that the term 'Natural' reflects the government's perspective towards sustainable development and the environment.
He stressed that the consistent effort across all sectors—be it agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, forestry, industry or transport—is to ensure that development principles are aligned with this "Natural" vision.
