Chhattisgarh to mark Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary with statewide Tribal Pride Day celebrations on Nov 15

Raipur, Nov 14 (UNI) Chhattisgarh will observe the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as Tribal Pride Day on November 15 with commemorative events scheduled across all districts.
The state government has directed district administrations to organise programmes reflecting the cultural, historical and social legacy of tribal communities, with Ministers, MPs and MLAs attending as chief guests. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address will be broadcast live at all venues through official channels, while the Chief Minister’s message will be read out during the proceedings. Short films on flagship initiatives such as PM Janman, Aadi Karmayogi, and Dharti Aaba will also be screened.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will preside over the main state level ceremony in Jagdalpur, where Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap and MLA Kiran Singh Deo will join as special guests. District wise programmes will feature senior members of the state cabinet and Parliament: Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma will attend in Durg, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao in Bilaspur; union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu in Raipur, and Speaker Dr. Raman Singh in Rajnandgaon.

Over 4 5 lakh absent/deceased voters delistested in Uttarakhand in pre-SIR exercise

Dehradun, May 15 (UNI) More than 4.5 lakh voters in Uttarakhand have been delisted from the Electoral rolls as they were found unavailable at their places during the pre-SIR exercise process by the Election Commission of India(ECI).
As the SIR will begin on May 29 these names were removed as they fell in the ASD (Absentee, Shifted, and Deceased) categories.
In Uttarakhand, the number of voters has dropped by 4,53,459 in the past year.
