Jammu Sept 7 (UNI) Taking a jibe at the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on Saturday said that the forthcoming Assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir will be the first election where there will be only one flag, one constitution and one Prime Minister.
“Rahul Baba and Omar Abdullah are unaware of my August 5, 2019 speech where I have clarified that statehood will be restored to J&K at an appropriate time post polls,” Shah said here addressing workers' rally on the second leg of his two-day visit to Jammu to kick-start the poll campaign.
He also released party’s manifesto here on Friday.
“How they (Rahul Gandhi, Omar Abdullah) can bring back statehood. Can they clarify? It is the Prime Minister Narendera Modi led government that can give back the statehood to J&K,” he added.
He further said that after the abrogation of Article 370, it will be the first election in Jammu and Kashmir when there is only one flag, one constitution and one Prime Minister.
“From Kanyakumari to Kashmir, there is only one PM and that is Narendera Modi,” Shah said.
Shah further said that the National Conference in their manifesto has advocated talks with Pakistan but until peace is permanently restored in Jammu and Kashmir, there will be no talks with Pakistan.
He however, asked the BJP cadre to vote against Abdullahs, Muftis and Gandhis along with four other families to prevent them reviving terrorism, separatism and stone pelting, adding, “NC-Congress alliance can never form government in J&K.”
He also dared Congress and National Conference on Gujjar-Bakerwal and Dalit reservation stating that “no power can touch this reservation.”
Shah said that the people of Jammu will be the key stakeholders in the next government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.
