UP Human Rights Commission issues instruction on Police misconduct with disciples of Shankaracharya on Jan 18

Prayagraj, Jan 24 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of the allegations made in the complaint, filed by Dr. Gajendra Singh Yadav, regarding the alleged misbehaviour with the disciples of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati on the day of Mauni Amavasya at the Magh Mela in Prayagraj.
The Commission has disposed of the complaint with instructions.
The State Human Rights Commission today stated that considering the nature of the allegations made in the complaint, it would be appropriate to send a copy of the complaint to the Police Commissioner, Prayagraj, who will look into the matter.

Jammu, Feb 16 (UNI) The Academic Council of the University of Jammu approved introduction of Five-Year Integrated UG-PG Programmes under New Education Policy-2020. The decision was taken at the Council meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai on Monday.
Prof Rai deliberated upon and endorsed a wide range of academic, statutory, and institutional matters aimed at strengthening academic innovation, expanding academic programmes, and aligning the University’s academic ecosystem with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020).
