Himachal: Alert NTPC team, brave villagers save 2 children stranded in Satluj

Bilaspur, May 15 (UNI) Two children stranded in the middle of the Satluj river in Bilaspur district were rescued safely on Wednesday evening, thanks to the prompt response of NTPC Koldam management and the courage of local villagers.
The incident occurred in Khangar village of Sadar subdivision, where three children — Krish Chandel, Anuj, and a girl — were playing on the sandy riverbank, unaware of the warning sirens sounded before water release from the Koldam hydroelectric project.
As the water level began to rise rapidly, the children were caught off guard.
