Liquor tragedy: Kingpin among 9 held, says Punjab DGP

Chandigarh, May 13 (UNI) Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on Tuesday said nine people, including the kingpin, have been arrested for the liquor tragedy in which 14 people have died since Monday night.
Yadav took to X saying that several local distributors have been arrested in connection with the illicit liquor trade.
He said methanol was procured online and was used for manufacturing spurious liquor. An investigation is underway to uncover the modus operandi and bring all involved to justice.
