UP Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad stopped by police in Ghaziabad from proceeding to Meerut

Ghaziabad, Jan 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad was stopped by Ghaziabad police at the UP Gate on Thursday while he was on his way to Meerut to meet the family of Sonu Kashyap, who was brutally murdered earlier this month.
The police did not allow Nishad's convoy to move ahead, leading to a heated exchange with Kaushambi SHO Ajay Sharma and Indirapuram ACP Abhishek Srivastava.
According to ACP Abhishek Srivastava, the action was taken on the orders of senior officials. He told the minister that he was not permitted to go to Meerut. The minister’s convoy, consisting of three vehicles, was stopped for nearly 30 minutes.
