Security scenario is fine, but terrorism is still in J&K : Farooq

Srinagar, June 11 (UNI) National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday said that the security scenario is good in Jammu & Kashmir but the terrorism was still alive here.
He said border with Pakistan remains permeable.
“Borders all along the Jammu and Kashmir are porous and cannot be controlled everywhere”, Farooq told media persons in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
He said the security scenario is fine but the terrorism was still alive.
“I feel sorry that the innocent people who had come for pilgrimage to Shiv Khori were attacked and killed”, the NC President said, while responding to a query on Reasi attack.
At least nine people were killed and more than 30 others received injuries when militants attacked a bus carrying pilgrims to Shiv Khori in Reasi area of Jammu and Kashmir on June 10.
“We all the people of Jammu and Kashmir should condemn the Shiv Khori attack by militants and pray to Almighty not to send such people (militants) to here who are creating problems for the people ', the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said.
In reply to a question, Farooq said “we all should be ready to receive the Amarnath Pilgrims”.
He said “we have always welcomed the Amarnath pilgrims and hoped that the Yatries should not face any problem.. If God willing ..the yatra will move in a good atmosphere this year too”.
When asked that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Narendra Modi on taking oath as Prime Minister of India for the third time, Farooq said “a Prime Minister of a country wishing the Prime Minister of another country. May both act on the good wishes they exchanged and move forward”.
