UP Dy. CM Maurya urges Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand to end protest

Lucknow, Jan 22 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Thursday conveyed a message of restraint and respect to Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand in the backdrop of the controversy surrounding the pontiff at the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela.
Maurya said, "I offer my respects at the feet of the revered Shankaracharya. I request him to take a holy dip and end this matter here."
The Deputy CM clarified on the question of the alleged insult to the Shankaracharya that disrespect to any revered saint, acharya, or Shankaracharya is unacceptable. He said that if any instance of disrespect or insult comes to light, an inquiry will be conducted, and action will be taken against those found guilty.
