HP govt revises stage carriage bus fares; new rates effective immediately

Shimla, May 8 (UNI) The Government of Himachal Pradesh has issued revised fare rates for stage carriage bus services across the state on Thursday, a notification issued here today confirmed.
According to a notification from the Department of Transport, signed by Additional Chief Secretary (Transport) R.D. Nazeem, the new rates will come into force with immediate effect and apply uniformly to all categories of public transport buses—ordinary, deluxe, and AC/super luxury.
As per the new fare structure, the per kilometre fare for ordinary buses, including minibuses, is set at 160 paise (₹1.60) in the plains and 250 paise (₹2.50) in hill areas.

Betul (MP), Jan 18 (UNI) An unidentified person was hit by the Rajdhani Express on the Parsoda track in the vicinity of this district's Amla Station, officials of Railway Proteection Force(RPF) said on Sunday.
The person's severed head got caught in the locomotive and was carried about 4 km to Amla where it was extricated with the help of Railway personnel. The rest of the body was found on the scene.
