Icy winds from mountains turns UP into severe cold condition

Lucknow, Jan 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh is experiencing severe cold and the icy winds blowing from the mountains have brought night temperatures below normal and impacting people's life.
Over the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature across the state has been below 10°C. Hardoi was the coldest, recording a low of 3°C.
Due to fog, more than 80 trains in Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Ghaziabad and Lucknow are running hours late. VIP trains like the Vande Bharat and Shatabdi Express are also running off schedule. Flight schedules in Lucknow and Varanasi have also been affected due to fog.

At Academic Council, JU approves integrated UG-PG progs for offsite campuses under NEP-2020

Jammu, Feb 16 (UNI) The Academic Council of the University of Jammu approved introduction of Five-Year Integrated UG-PG Programmes under New Education Policy-2020. The decision was taken at the Council meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai on Monday.
Prof Rai deliberated upon and endorsed a wide range of academic, statutory, and institutional matters aimed at strengthening academic innovation, expanding academic programmes, and aligning the University’s academic ecosystem with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020).
