Yogi cracks whip against 183 employees under Jal Jeevan Mission

Lucknow, May 16 (UNI) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken strict disciplinary action against negligent officials, reaffirming his commitment to quality and timely implementation of piped drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission, official sources said on Friday.
Sources said that in line with the government's zero-tolerance policy, action has been initiated against 183 officers and employees over the past four years. "Of these, 122 have been placed under investigation, 55 have received adverse entries in their service records and 6 have been suspended," they said.
Sources said that strict monitoring and regular evaluation of ongoing works under the Jal Jeevan Mission is being carried out. CM Yogi's directives underline that the mission is not just a government scheme but a critical public service initiative aimed at delivering clean drinking water to every household and its success cannot be left to chance," they said.
