Only IndiGo hit nationwide; causes are internal, not external: Mathur

Bengaluru, Dec 4 (UNI) Aviation expert Anant Mathur on Thursday said the nationwide disruptions affecting IndiGo’s flight operations point to deep-rooted internal challenges within the airline, as no other carrier across the country has reported similar issues under the same operating environment.
His remarks come amid continuing passenger inconvenience and growing scrutiny of India’s largest airline.
Mathur said that all major external factors cited by IndiGo in recent days — including winter fog, airspace congestion, schedule adjustments, technical glitches, and the implementation of new flight duty time limitations — are conditions faced equally by every airline in the country. Yet the disruptions remain confined to IndiGo alone.
