Centre’s help is imperative for development of AP: Naidu

Vijayawada, June 11 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party Chief and Chief Ministerial candidate N Chandrababu Naidu underlined the need for the help of the Central government for the development of Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the Legislatures of TDP, JSP, and BJP, after being elected as leader of the Legislature party here on Tuesday, Naidu said that the unprecedented election victory of the alliance in AP has increased their responsibility and called upon all to work for the development of the state.
Naidu said that they have to study how much debts were borrowed by the erstwhile government and assess the financial status of the state. The construction of irrigation projects came to a halt and all sectors were ruined in Jagan Reddy’s regime, Naidu criticized.
Stating that it’s not time to indulge in vindictive politics, Naidu said that those who committed offences should be punished as per the law.
“Amaravati will remain the Capital city of AP. Visakhapatnam will be developed as the financial capital of the state. People reposed confidence in the alliance and it is our responsibility to provide good governance,” Naidu asserted.
Stating the 2024 election results of AP are useful for a case study, Naidu felt that if the rulers are arrogant and cruel, they are given such a mandate. He said that he had never expected such a massive one-sided mandate. "We initially doubted vote transfer among the TDP-JSP-BJP parties but people have given a landslide victory allaying all doubts," Naidu made it clear.
Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need to focus on the education, agriculture, and health sectors for development and expressed confidence that experienced politician Chandrababu Naidu would lead the state towards development.
BJP State President D Purandeswari, who was elected to LS, described the Modi-Naidu-Pawan Kalan joining together as a confluence of rivers and highlighted the BJP’s concept of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas'. She flayed that there was no genuine welfare and development in the previous government. The landslide victory of the alliance in AP reflects the vexation and disenchantment of people, Puradeswari opined.
