Malpractice in postal voting: FIR against former Kerala PWD Minister

Thiruvananthapurm, May 15 (UNI) Chief Electoral Officer of Kerala Rathan U. Kelkar has directed filing of an FIR against former Kerala PWD Minister G Sudhakaran over alleged malpractice in postal voting in the 1989 Lok Sabhha election.
He said "the Election Commission of India is viewing with utmost seriousness the media reports quoting Mr. G. Sudhakaran that postal votes were tampered with and manipulated."
"The alleged incident pertains to the 1989 Lok Sabha election from the Alappuzha constituency, where malpractice in postal voting was reportedly carried out."
