Telangana: 9th class student found dead in hostel room

Adilabad (Telangana), Mar 10 (UNI) A ninth-grade student of the Government Tribal Ashram Girls’ School in Ichchoda mandal was found dead in her hostel room on Monday morning.
According to police, the student, identified as Chikram Lalithya, a native of Morkandi village in Bajarahat Mandal, was studying at the Tribal Girls’ Ashram School.
On Monday morning, when her fellow students woke up and tried to wake Lalithya, who was sleeping next to them, she did not respond. They immediately informed the school staff, who then alerted her family members.
The police visited the scene, registered a case based on the family's complaint, and sent the body for a postmortem.
Further investigation is underway, police added.
