International Tsunami Symposium 2025 begins at INCOIS Hyderabad focuses on early warning systems

Hyderabad, Nov 12 (UNI) The 32nd International Tsunami Symposium (ITS-2025), a premier global forum for tsunami science, preparedness, and disaster risk reduction, commenced on Wednesday at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) in Hyderabad.
The three-day event, being held from November 12–14, 2025, has brought together more than 80 delegates, including leading scientists, researchers, and disaster management experts from around the world.
Organised jointly by INCOIS and the International union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) Tsunami Commission, the symposium aims to foster international collaboration in tsunami hazard assessment, detection, monitoring, early warning systems, mitigation strategies, and community preparedness.
