Cong MLA supports DCM brother's 'no one willingly gives up power' remark

Bengaluru, Jan 21 (UNI) Congress MLA Shivaganga Basavaraj on Wednesday supported remarks by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar's brother, DK Suresh, stating that no one willingly relinquishes their position of power.
He said, "Everyone has their limits. What Suresh has pointed out is correct. Even Gram Panchayat presidents are refusing to relinquish their positions despite agreements, and we are seeing this first hand in our constituencies."
Basavaraj said the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should clarify the pact. "I am not aware if the Chief Minister had given any assurance. Suresh has stated that no one willingly gives up their position. If even a Gram Panchayat president is unwilling to vacate their post, it is unlikely that anyone would surrender power. I do not believe this applies to CM Siddaramaiah," he added.
