Centre charts revival path for ITI: Scindia

Bengaluru, July 10 (UNI) Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia today said that the Centre is working on multiple strategies to make Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) financially sound and position it as a key player in India’s digital infrastructure, backed by a coordinated "whole-of-government" approach.
"We are working on multiple strategies to make ITI financially sound. A whole-of-government approach will help revitalise it and make it a key player in India’s digital infrastructure," Scindia told reporters here, underlining the government's resolve to modernise India's legacy telecom PSU to meet future technological demands.
Lauding ITI’s role in the evolution of India’s telecom sector, Scindia highlighted its journey from manufacturing rotary and push-button telephones to developing advanced infrastructure such as core telecom equipment, radio access networks, routers and PCB boards.

Telangana Govt to seek Central funds for 642 km of rural roads under PMGSY phase IV
