Auger-Aliassime battles past Shelton for maiden win at 2025 ATP Finals

Turin (Italy), Nov 13 (UNI) Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime produced a spirited comeback to keep his hopes alive at the 2025 ATP Finals, defeating USA’s Ben Shelton 4-6, 7-6(7), 7-5 in a gripping round.
According to Olympics.com, it took the best part of two hours and 25 minutes in Turin, Italy, but the eighth seed found a way through to record his maiden win at the 2025 year-end finals.
“He was playing much better than me at the start,” Auger-Aliassime said of his opponent after the match. “It was a weird start, but as the match went on, I was finding ways to put returns in the court. Once we engaged in the rallies, I felt like I could win more. You just have to fight, believe, and play the next point the right way.”
