India duo close in on top ranking following T20I heroics against England

Dubai, Feb 5 (UNI) A major shake-up at the top of the latest T20I rankings as a West Indies spinner regains his position as the No 1 bowler, while Australia's Test stars make big gains up the Test ranks.
A pair of India's in-form white-ball players have been rewarded for strong performances during the recent home series against England by making giant strides on the latest ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings, according to an ICC media release.
Abhishek Sharma produced the best innings of his fledging international career when he smashed a quickfire 135 in the fifth and final match of the series in Mumbai and shot up a whopping 38 places on the T20I rankings for batters as a result.

Melbourne, Jan. 18 (UNI) World number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus made her first step towards a fifth grand slam title with a comfortable victory over French wildcard Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah on Sunday's first day of the Australian Open.
Opening the night session on Rod Laver Arena, Sabalenka hit 23 winners to eventually run away with a 6-4, 6-1 victory in one hour and 16 minutes, having initially encountered problems against the left-handed 20-year-old.
