FFCI urges AIFF to consider minimum wages & pension for "Unsung Coaches of India"

Kolkata, Feb 1 (UNI) The Federation of Football Coaches in India (FFCI) has urged India's supreme football governing body - AIFF- to consider the plight (financial) of the football coaches, who primarily shaped the backbone of Indian football by grooming home grown players but remained unsung and neglected.
" We would like to appeal to the All India Football Federation to consider the plight of these " Unsung Gurus" and formulate a minimum monthly pension structure after assessing their contribution," a memorandum mailed to the AIFF said.
" The AIFF may also consider creating a Coaches Benevolent Fund for this purpose and form a committee to assess applications for financial assistance," the memorandum continued as it was adopted in the resolution, which has approval from the attendees.
