MLA Adsad demands immediate installation of CCTV cameras in Maha schools for girl students' safety

Mumbai, July 16 (UNI) Raising a serious concern over student safety, especially of girl students, MLA Pratap Adsad today demanded in the Maharashtra Assembly for immediate installation of CCTV cameras in all private and government schools across the state.
He pointed out that despite the state government's directive issued on August 21, 2024, making CCTV cameras mandatory in schools, many institutions are still avoiding its implementation.
Student safety is a very serious issue, and the government has already taken a decision on this matter, yet several schools are reluctant to install CCTV systems on their premises, the legislator said.
